vs super mario brothers not coming on screen right

Im trying to hook up a vs super mario brothers game board in a jamma cabinet. I have the vs system power supply but the picture shows up all weird on my tv. Im just testing this board right now and Im using a rgb to tv converter and im wondering if this system uses a special monitor. Is there any special hookups that need to be made or special components i need to make this game work in a jamma cabinet (besides a fingerboard to convert the nintendo to jamma connections that is)?

I'm guessing your black's look white and vice versa.  Greens look red and blues look yellow or something like that.

This is because Nintendo boards output video in negative, while most boards (including JAMMA) output in positive, which "normal" RGB monitors expect.  Nintendo used special monitors (usually the Sanyo 20EZ) that operate in negative.

But don't despair.  A simple color inverter board (found at several sites, including Mike's Arcade) will allow your SMB to display properly on your monitor....

Ok yea its more like a orange one color look its hard to explain but thats what i figured Thank you.

Kind of but the colors are differant. Its mostly a orangish color and sometimes it wont show up at all on the tv screen. I have a converter board on order i hope that fixes it. I bought one board off e-bay and i thought i got ripped off so i bought another one and this one was doing the same thing. I said somethings gotta be wrong i dont think ill get two that dont work. Anyway i got a nice converter with the jamma converter from mikes arcade comming so i should just be able to plug and play.

Hope you got his inverter/sound amp combo, as Nintendo's put the sound amp on the monitor chassis.  Without it, you may not have sounds....

yes i sure did. It has everything on it sound, color correction, and jamma connection all connected together all i have to do is plug it in. Thank you for all the help.
