Saw that Blizzard announced Starcraft 2.  Is this old news?  I haven't paid much attention to pc gaming recently.

Neat, I'll get it if is indeed Starcraft 2.

I thought SC2 was right up there with Duke Nukem Forever on the vaporware list.

I have changed my nickname to "Cakemeister". Please do not PM the Buddabing account because I do not check it anymore.

Please read the wiki!

Gameplay and cinematic trailers up on the games website:  http://www.starcraft2.com/

Knowing Blizzard, its probably still at a minimum a year or two from being released, but at least now we know what their next project is.

Hey, Prey finally came out so Duke Nukem Forever has to be right around the corner!  ;D

Cool, I played HL2 but that's been awhile.   I used to upgrade my pc components to make sure I could play new games, but I have lost interest lately.  This may prompt some purchases.

I am completely happy that starcraft 2 isnt going to have heroes or creeping involved like warcraft 3.  A real strategy game like warcraft 2 and starcraft is what they have been needing to make, rather than turning gamers into zombies like WOW caused.  Thank you blizzard!

You might not have to...from what I've read SC2 is still 2D with modest requirements. I believe...since they announced the sequal in Korea and where Starcraft is still really popular and can be played on old systems...that they designed it to run on much older hardware.

Some of the changes/additions seem cool though.  I'll pick it up just for nostalgia.  It was my first big lan party game. (ahhh...the glory days of starcraft and the original Half-Life.)

I thought Star Craft : Ghost was the vapor ware game?

anyways, I liked Star Craft but I preferred Red Alert 2 (and the Yuri's expansion)

pick em up, put em down

I think Star Craft: Ghost was cancelled a while back.  Besides, it wasn't being developed by Blizzard, so it was never something I was really looking forward to anyways.

Obviously many of us are going to buy this one way or another, but I'm pretty much mostly interested in whether or not they have put some care into fixing the auto-cast system to work more smoothly. The Faerie Dragon was such an amazing disaster for me as a casual gamer that it almost turned me off their products for good. I don't expect the auto-cast system to be as good as a double-jointed Korean epileptic, but I do expect it to not suck worse the AI in Warcraft II.
