My Control Pannel design
« on: May 19, 2007, 03:57:07 am »
This is just the really rough design for it but I would like some opinions on it.  The orange dots are were the controls are going to go encase you didn't know.  I used the current lay out because that how I have my cabinet layed out currently.  Im thinking about getting that second set of controls but I donno if that will work on a cabinet the size of Q*Bert.  Im planning on having some kind of logo in that open space but im still not sure what or if im going to just leave it blank.  What im going to do with the buttons is have the button itself blue and the little rim around the button that holds it in place white.  I dont know if the joystick/s are going to get the same treatment tho.  Im open to all comments positive and negative.  Feel free to ask for the full size image without the dots if you want to edit it but be sure to credit me if you do.  You might be able to win a prize if you can guess the CP that gave me the idea for this design. :)

Why have a player 2 button if there's only one set of controls?  Also, with the spacing if the buttons you've got going there, the scaling suggests you could fit another set on there.  I would probably measure out the CP, and draw up plans to scale.

Inspiration came from a Neo Geo cab I take it?

That song just reminds me of one of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games. I think it was the very first one that I played a million times. That song is  forever ingrained in my head.  ;D

It's Dead Kennedys - Police Truck.  I think it was on the first THPS, and i'm a big Dead Kennedys fan.
