New Trailer from VALVe's Team Fortress 2, shows the next generation of facial animation technology for Source Engine.

Holy crap! The in-game facial animation rocks!

Check this vid out:

I remember seeing screens from what was supposed to be TF2 like 5 years ago. Apparently they ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- canned the whole thing. This new TF2 looks awesome! I love the cartoony look. Now to see how well it plays. ;D

The source engine had some really good facial animation when it first came out, but they really went above and beyond in they're latest update to the technology.  Whats also really cool about it is that it will be freely available for all mod makers and to every company that licensed the source engine, so we could be seeing amazing looking facial animation in a number of other game.

I can't wait for episode 2, portal, and team fortress 2 to come out, I just hope they don't get delayed any more then they already have.

Heh, no kidding.  I remember when Valve was saying they would release a new episode every 6-9 months.  At least they always release very high quality products to make the wait worth it.

I'm really excited about Portal as well. It looks awesome and has really grabbed my attention, unlike most games on the horizon.

TF2 looks sweet though.  I'm just glad it might actually get released this time heh.

Man, I remember the days of Q1 4f4 on dial up.  I was a mad Demo!!!   :timebomb:  Used to use the grappling hook to go sniper nest to sniper nest blowing those little ---daisies--- to bits.   >:D
