Mamewah favourites list help
« on: May 15, 2007, 05:15:48 am »
So I've just updated Mamewah from a very old version to the latest version and now I can't generate a favourites list. It has no option to do this. Has something changed that I'm unaware of? Do I need to create my own files/folders? If I do can someone tell me exactly how to do this (pretend you're explaining it to a 7 year old!). Thankyou.

Ok so I've figured it out to this stage. I went to Mamewah config file and then to the mame folder, copied the mame-0 folder and the then renamed it mame-1 and went in to that folder and called it 'classics'. I then went to the files folder and copied the mame-0.lst folder and renamed it mame-1.lst. Now when I go in to mamewah i can see the classics folder but it has every game in it just like the 'all games' folder. how do i make it so that the classics list is empty and i can just add games on e at a time?
Thankyou

Delete mame-1.lst, a new empty one should be generated automatically by MameWah. Then look at your "All Games" list in MameWah and highlight a game you want to add to the "classics" list. Then go to "Game List Options", then "Add game to list", then select the list named "classics".

You can also do a key assignment in the config file that includes key assignments (I forget which file it is) for "add game to list" to make the process a little easier/faster.

I have been able to generate the list, but when I try to add a game to it, it  doesn't show up. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

You may need to give us more info on the steps you are taking.

Which list are you trying to add to, are you selecting the game in the All Games list and then adding it to a new list you created?

The All Games list is special. You can't add or remove from it as far as I know. It is meant to be generated as a full list of all games for that emulator then used to populate sub lists that you create.
