Twisters in Greensburg Kansas - too close for comfort
« on: May 06, 2007, 03:53:38 pm »
The twisters that leveled this little Kansas town were one county away from my in-laws.  As a result, they are without power and water.  1 person in their town was killed when the basement wall fell on top of them.  My in-laws police chief was caught in the storm and was critically injured - had to life flight him to Wichita...they have heard nothing yet.

There is apparently NOTHING left of Greensburg but the trees.  I was just reading up on it online and Main Street is gone - leveled.  So are all of the churches and schools.

Please pray for these folks and / or keep them in your thoughts - and while you are doing that, pray for my wife and my daughter, who will be flying to Kansas on May 21 to see her folks that the weather will be good (yeah, right now Daddy's not too happy about them taking this trip, but I'm just trying to have faith).
