Help me ID my monitor please
« on: May 04, 2007, 06:30:34 pm »
Monitor is obviously a Kortek and has the sequence K973217 on the underside of the PCB. I want to get a cap kit for it as the display is not the best. Can you help me ID the monitor or tell me what cap kit I should get?
Thank you.

its a variation of the ktm-f range, but which i am not sure.
you can clearly see all the electrolitcs so just write down each value and order them seperately

Cool thanks, that was the next thing to do. I have written all the values down so I will order the caps separately. I suppose I'm just replacing the biggest caps there are about 7 of them? I haven't done this before.

Replace every single electrolytic cap (even the little ones), except for maybe the big giant in the corner as they rarely fail, but you can replace it also if you want...

Electrolytic being all the round cylindrical ones with the negative stripe on the sides .... not the "bubble gum" shaped green and brown ones.
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.
