Lowe's coupons
« on: May 04, 2007, 09:14:41 am »

I remember people mentioning that they tend to always use a coupon at Lowe's.  I assume that's the 10% off movers' coupon?  How do you usually get them?  You have to register to get it, which means once per email address.  Are you setting up a new email address every time you submit for a coupon?

As I understood it, they are in address changing kits at the post office. I've never taken the time to check it out myself.

I occasionally receive them in the mail, but I can't figure out what I did that triggered Lowe's to send them to me in the first place.  The last one that I had expired yesterday and I couldn't even find anything to use it on!

You can sign up for one at Lowe's moving website. Or you can get one at the post office according to this thread.

The website is what I was originally referring to... you can only do it once per email address, I assume.

On ebay you can purchase 20% coupons for lowes for a couple of bucks.
Most of the times they are Home Depot coupons but Lowes and Sears (and others) will honor them.

Recently bought a coupon for 5 bucks (including shipment) and I saved $280.00 at Lowes.

I did see that... my individual purchases usually aren't big enough to justify spending $5 on the coupon.

One per email address. I got 3 recently. Helps to have family with email addresses or a website with multiple email support. ;)

It's 9am. I'm calling it a nite.

The trick is to get the coupon in HTML format in your email.

Once you've got one from Home Depot and one from Lowes print multiple copies of each coupon. Use the Home Depot coupon at Lowes and the Lowes coupoon at Home Depot. Repeat. They try to scan in the bar code at the bottom but it doesn't register on their system. It usually takes a manager override to get the discount, but I've never had problems with it. I've used it for $350 off our $3,500 flooring purchase and I've used it to get an additional $10 off a $100 tool purchase.
