Probably the best thing ever invented.
Apparently you can do this with any hex editor. In fact, some say you don't even need to learn anything, just mess it up and put some random stuff in for hex values.
Personally, my favorite hack is waveofmovement.

I havent played in the hex for a game well since the Nes days. Thanks for the heads up, you may have just made me that less active at work.
Though I think I am going to work on Mario 2 and/or Contra instead of Mario 1.
