Seeking classic gaming expert opinions
« on: April 30, 2007, 05:17:07 pm »
Hello. I have been a long-time contributor to http://www.StrategyWiki.org and I've been focusing on classic games, while most editors are more excited to focus on modern games. As a result, I don't often have an opportunity to collaborate with other classic gaming expert on my guides. So I was hoping some of you could take a look at the work that I've done and give me your general impressions. I'm interested in the following things:
a) How do you like the overall layout used for the guides.  Is the multi-page format easy to understand and navigate?  Can you find the information that you're looking for easily?
b) How do you like the graphical presentation used? Too much, not enough, etc.?
c) Would you personally be interested in contributing to any of these guides?
d) If not, what (if anything) discourages you from doing so?
Thank you very much if you take the time to look at the guides and if you respond to these questions.

The guides in question can be found from my user page: http://www.StrategyWiki.org/wiki/User:Procyon which is always updated with the guides that I have recently completed (as of this posting, I am in the middle of creating a BurgerTime guide.)

I'd rename your thread. Due to its general nature, I bet it makes a lot of people think you're just asking for help on building. I'd also move it to the Main sub forum so it gets the attention it deserves.

One big one I didn't see for Berzerk:

When you exit a room, your starting point in the next room is always the opposite side of the exit you used.  This is a way to locate your Humanoid faster on a new screen.
