Monitor discharge necessary?
« on: April 15, 2003, 01:33:05 pm »
I just got my 19" Wells-Gardner D9100 monitor.  I'm running it in my office for a few days to test it; then I'm going to pack it up, leave it here for a couple of months until I move, then take it home and install it.  Do I need to discharge it before packing it up, or is it only necessary to discarge it when doing work on it?

Thanks!

Only when working on it.  Doing so otherwise only puts it [and you  :o] through stress and actually INCREASES the chance of it gathering a charge just sitting "uncapped" in an otherwise properly working monitor.
