I find it very annoying that gamestop.com does not have Eternal Darkness listed.

Well, that game is from '02 -- may have to search a little for it.  eBay has plenty, but they're all overpriced.

Does gamestop.com actually have all the info on stock?  Maybe your local store actually does have it.

Yeah, I suspect gamestop.com only lists the games that are available via the website.  The prices often vary from my local store, too.

It is listed. To be able to view used games go to a game you know they have, like guitar hero 2. Now scroll down and click where it reads "Show backordered used products that may be available in stores.". Now try searching for eternal darkness, it should work.

I dont know if it was already mentioned but gamestop is running the buy 2 get 1 free special on all used games/hardware. Here is what I picked up:

SMT: Digital Devil Saga (PS2)
God of War 2 (PS2)
Trauma Center: Second Opinion (wii)
Psychonauts (PS2)
Ico (PS2)
Rule of Rose (PS2)

All for under $100.00, of course that is including the 10% off and about $20.00 worth of scam money  ;D

For what little I played of it (45 min) I think Trauma Center is great. I have heard people complain that it is not very long though.

I picked up Eternal Darkness last night and played through the first 40 minutes.  Great sound, that's for sure, the graphics are pretty good for a 2002 game.  So far, not so creepy, and I haven't seen any insanity effects yet.

That game isn't very creepy until the whole lovecraft thing kicks in. Even then not so creepy. There is one really good startle but I won't ruin it for you. I can almost guarantee it will get you though. The insanity effects are great the first couple of times they happen but after that they lose there novelty. Overall this is one of my favorite survival horrors. I like how all of these people throughout history are connected to this tome and I enjoy learning what fate it had brought them.

As the roman soldier, did you grab the green, blue, or red artifact?  The choice you made greatly impacts game play.

As far as the insanity effects, some are a bit over-used, and can get a bit annoying.  Just don't ruin all of them by looking up what they all are online.

So far I'm on the third person with no context as to why they are connected.  Odd.

As the roman soldier I grabbed all four artifacts.  There wasn't much choice, you had to use them all shortly afterwards.

So far my favorite horror/survival game has been D for the Saturn.  That one got me many times.  It was a bit more Myst than Resident Evil but still a fantastic game for its era.  The one annoying part was that in order to beat it you had to play it all the way through in one sitting - no saves, and it took about 3 hours.

At the end of the roman soldier's level (Pious Augustus), you find yourself in a room with three choices: A red artifact (choosing this puts the game in 'hard' mode), a blue artifact (less hard), or a green artifact (easy).  You are allowed to choose only one, as the moment you touch it you turn into a servant of a dark god (the red one, blue one, or green one), and that level is over.

I don't consider that a spoiler, as a premise to the game is to choose which dark god you're fighting.  We can take this off-thread though.

Ordered GTA: SA yesterday because it's only $9 on amazon now. Can't go wrong at that price.

You could also try the PC port of RE4, which has a graphics patch to make it look like the GameCube game and also a patch for using the mouse.

I'm looking forward to this. Amazon says it'll be released to PC here in the states May 15th. I've got friends who can play FPS games with PS pads, but I can't imagine anything but mouse/keyboard for them so I'm waiting for the PC version. Just hope that my PC can handle the graphics, they look pretty sweet.

Yeah, I know amazon is a rip-off sometimes. But in my experience it is more often legit stuff than ebay so I don't mind so much.

NDS: Pokemon Diamond is eating up most of my time.  I'm on my way to the third gym boss city.  Have a pretty good team, for a change, but I'm getting rather tired of having to pass by battles of things I already own.

Wii:  I had to start Twilight Princess over when my Wii died, so I'm not very far in it. I hope that will change when wife and kid go to Kansas.  I'm also on a second season in Tiger Woods golf.

Picked up Eternal Darkness recently, not too far in it.   I think that's my problem - I need to stick with one and get ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT before starting another.

I'm really surprised at how good and long Zelda Oracle of Seasons is... I mean, it's a Gameboy Color game.

Link's Awakening is also surprisingly good.  It has awesome graphics for being originally a Gameboy Mono title.  I also really like the music.  Gameplay-wise, it's very similar to A Link to the Past.

I have that, along with Oracle of Ages and Metroid II, sitting on my desk waiting for me to finish Oracle of Seasons.

That game is my favorite Zelda game.

I've mostly been sticking to Wii Sports and Wii Play.  Twilight Princess is sitting there on the shelf because it requires too much of a time commitment.  Busy, busy!

I'm about to face the Elite 4 in Pokemon Diamond. I only have 7 pokemon left to collect out of the 150. I wanted to get a little closer to the final total before I fight the elite 4. Then I'll be ready to collect the Pokemon from the other valleys.
