CNC - GCODE cabinet files?
« on: April 19, 2007, 05:04:05 pm »
Just out of curiosity, anyone have any game cabinet CNC ready files they'd share?  I just want to play with some cabs and see if I like anything  :)

I do have a complete set BUT, I doubt they'd be compatible on machines other than what I'm using and I'm also not ready to make all that programing public (at least yet) even if it is somehow useful to others.  Actually, the more I think about it the more I doubt it would work.  Aside from the potential software conflicts, the machine uses a 'tool file' that directly relates to how we currently have the machine tooled.  This file is unique to our machine even when compared to another machine of the same make/model.

good point, thank you for clearing that up.

The only access to cnc i've had has been through cnczone.  Most of those guys there are all using routers on handbuilt machines and using the same software.  They pass around dxf files and generic g-code to each other.

I've been thinking about building one of those for 4' by 4' sheet sizes
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
