Fantasy Baseball anyone?
« on: April 06, 2007, 04:28:21 am »
I just decided to start a league of my own, if you will pardon any puns, over at cbssportsline.com.  The league name is "Honoring Hammerin Hank" and I've set the live draft for 4/7/07 at 8:30 PM...so that anyone interested can get started next week (at least I believe it will).   It's a free, public league...no password needed, but I need 9 others by draft day to keep it alive!

If interested, you will have to register at the site, but again, it's free as well.

I think it's hard enough to get anyone to watch a real baseball game, yet alone pretend to care about players stats these days.

Agreed...

There is something seriously wrong with a sport that pays multi-million dollars per year to an "athlete" who can get fat while playing the game and NOT lose his "edge".

I used to go to Padre games all the time in San Diego...but not to watch the game,  but to catch a buzz with my friends and have a good time socializing.  I think of the 20 games or so I went to I MIGHT have watched 10 innings.   How baseball can pull a TV audience is beyond me.

Good luck though...

Fair enough.  Wound up with 10 people for the league anyway.  I know fantasy football entices some of you, didn't know about baseball.

And while we're on the subject, Frizzle are you SURE you weren't also describing some of the current NFL talent?  ;D
