Playing movies on the PSP would be cool, but I don't know what it is (the refresh rate perhaps) that leads to distracting shadows, artifacts, and an overall unsatisfying movie watching experience.  I don't have the technical name for whatever plagues the screen (and some games), but it sure is annoying.  A cheap, portable DVD player fits the bill much better.  If you're buying a PSP to watch movies on the go, it's a poor investment.  Lumines is fun however. ;-)
