These older monitor are better than these new pcs of crap on the market today.
Yup, especially when you have to change a capacitor in the chassis if you want more H-size adjustment than 1/8" in either direction. I think that is my favorite part about those old monitors. I mean, why turn a knob on a front-mounted remote adjustment board on a new monitor when you can pull the chassis and do a trial & error width circuit capacitor changing routine on an old monitor?
I also like how 25+ year old flyback transformers tend to have one foot in the grave (the anticipation for when they are going to finally give up the ghost is exciting), and how fresh those 25+ year old capacitors are in general.
