Yeah - why not. It can't be as bad as:

DOOM
Battlefield Earth
Dungeons and Dragons
Pac-man (the cartoon)
Final Fantasy
or any of the other memories from my past they've destroyed already

I bought the one that transforms into a Cuda for my nephew.

He turned 5, and the packaging said 5+, so I figured it'd be good for him.

I was more excited about the toy than he was.  When I started showing him how the car transformed he got disturbed and wanted me to make it a car again.

I wanted to take his older brother to see the movie.  I guess if the transforming was to much for a 5 year old the violence might be to much for an 8 year old.

I love to go to the theater and see summer blockbusters - good or bad.  It's the experience that draws me in.

I think John Travolta liked it too.

The movie was only half done - I heard he ran out of money. The movie itself was bad, but compared to the book it was awful.

I liked Doom too but fully admit it sucked balls.  It accurately recreated the feel of the game but that wasn't all that entertaining to watch.

I liked Final Fantasy.  A bit obtuse but a decent movie if you're into that style.

Final Fantasy sucked, but the special cover the artists did for Maxim was nice. ;)

I thought the movie was a big improvement over the book, being much much shorter.  The movie was just your typical lame sci-fi flick, but the book was awful.  I though it would never end!

Doom was worth watching once.  It was a pretty stupid movie, but worth it for the first-person sequence at then end.  Maybe it wasn't meant to be comedic, but it had me howling with laughter.

I liked Battlefield Earth. I think I liked it because I read the book and you see hints the book that would take to long to explain.  Like the scene were he's showing the human one for greatest battles for Earth, which Earth's greatest forces could only hold out for 15 minutes.   It was at  military academy, the movie panned past a weathered sign, but it didn't explain that the aliens used poison trying to kill off everyone on Earth. The poison killed off all the real military, but the military academy was in the hills so it was protected against the poison. The soldiers who were putting up this resistance that the aliens are bragging about were only 13 year old boys with .22 rifles.

It's a big book, instead of deleting chapter and changing the story around I wish they would have been split up into three movies.

Battlefield Earth, Time Cop and Clerks are three movies that my friends use against me when I recommend a movie.

Transformers will probably be added to that list, since I don't think it'll be bad, no matter how much they butcher up the story.

Just watched the preview - looks like it could be pretty good (don't they all from the trailers).  I see Speilberg's involved, so maybe it won't totally suck?

I'm glad no one put the Resident Evil movies on teh sux list - I like those.

Wing Commander has to be one of the top sucklist movies of all time.

The thing is, a good friend of mine thinks it's one of the greatest movies of all time.

The sumabitch even convinced me to PAY to see it in the cinema. :banghead:

they could have taken the FMV cutscenes from wing commander III (or whatever one it was that had Malcolm McDowell and luke skywalker), edited those together to make a movie and it would have been better than that pig of a movie.

Battlefield Earth is one of my favorite books ever. I wish they had followed the book's storyline instead of what they decided to do in the movie. I mean, 1000-year-old planes that still fly? Fort Knox still intact with all its gold? "Klinkos" instead of Chinkos? Klingon-like makeup? Come on!

(BTW It was the U.S. Air Force Academy that was the "last resistance" of mankind in the book)
I have changed my nickname to "Cakemeister". Please do not PM the Buddabing account because I do not check it anymore.

Maybe Dianetics was one of your favorite books, because they did use the gold in fort Knox. I think they also used planes that were air sealed in an underground military base.  Although that could be me mixing up BFE with the Tripods series.

EDIT:  My taste in movies is improving.  I rented Beer Fest last night, I figured it would be a movie I loved that everybody else hated.

I was wrong, it was horrible.
