This is a really sad screw-up for those who have lost pets.  I hope a class action suit gets some results but lets face it some of us love our pets like they are kids and this will hurt alot of people.

My grandmother likely lost her dog because of this. Her cockapoo, Princess (God, I hated that name) went into kidney failure. She was eating eukenuba dry food. What makes it worse was the fact she was just getting over a relatively major stroke, and the $1-2k she put into vet bills. I hope the class action gets the winners something appreciable.

Of all the recall information, there are only 2 Eukenuba products listed, both of them wet or moist types.  There are no warnings or recall info on any of their dry food products.

Was the dog getting over the stroke, or were you referring to your grandmother?  If it was the dog, perhaps that had something to do with it.  If it was your grandmother, I'm sorry to hear that this happened to her.

I'm sorry for the confusion. It was my grandmother who had the stroke. I see how it was unclear now. And I thought that they are now considering the dry food as another possible contaminated substance?

Thus far, the only dry pet food recall is a voluntary recall by Hill's (not all of their products either, but I'm sure you can visit their web site).  They're most commonly known for Science Diet.  More recalls MAY be on the way, but thus far, only wet/moist products and SOME of Hill's via voluntary recall.
