why aren't all the roms showing up?

ok this may sound like a stupid question, and may in fact be a stupid question, but being new to the mame scene I really don't know the answer to it.

after downloading ROMSi have 469 ROMS still zipped in my ROM folder...when i run mame32 only 401 games show as available... it was like this for .65-.67...anyone have an idea why these others won't show up as available?

Maybe they're incorrectly named. IE has a nasty habit of tacking a [1] onto the end of stuff sometimes.

Did you try hitting F5 to refresh your gamelist?

Maybe they're not supported?

Are the zips corrupt? Have you used a rommanager to verify them?

Maybe some are clones and you don't have the parent...
