I'll confirm the sentiment about Whole Foods.  I went in that place for the only second time ever last weekend (first time was a long time ago).  Great store, great products, but holy crap did I feel out of place.  It was like trying to wade my way through a Walmart - only packed with rich, snooty people.

Yep, Whole Foods customers are very full of themselves.  My wife is a vegetarian, and even though Whole Foods probably has the best selection of vegetarian and natural oriented foods (besides possibly PCC) she hates that store and simply won't go.

 :dunno

I don't mind TJ's, but its more of a once in a while sort of place for me.  I shop at Central Market in Shoreline, and that is an absolutely wonderful grocery store.  I will occasionally also go to one of the Ranch 99 asian markets, with an occasional trip to Uwajimaya to fill in the gaps.

And no, I'm not asian, I just really enjoy authentic asian cuisine.

A Whole Foods opened up yesterday in NYC on the Bowery and they had a ---goshdarn--- bread-breaking ceremony. And then people applauded.
Seriously.

Ranch 99 is an excellent place to go. My wife is Vietnamese so she gets out there quite a bit....it is so cheap there.
