Benson's ArcadeVgaRes vs mamewah's mame_res_tool?
« on: March 27, 2007, 12:01:27 am »
I posted this on the Ultimarc forum, but didn't get many opinions or thoughts. Here are my findings using the two seperate utilities.

I find the Benson ArcadeVGARes was much easy to run. No doubt Mamewah's ultility is more versitle. Here is an odd example of the differences between the two utilities.
King of Fighters 98
Naitive res is 320x224
mame_res_tool is 304x240
ArcadeVGARes is 321x240

Now I don't know a lot about video settings, but wouldn't 321x240 be a closer match? It certainly looks better on my Betson Multisync.
