Tapper Custom Modification
« on: March 24, 2007, 10:15:30 pm »
Here's a crazy question, but is there any way to modify the Tapper game to have a custom color/background?  I've seen a Root Beer version, a Bud Light version, etc. So I'm wondering if there is any way to make a custom version.  Thanks.

It's called rom hack.  Not sure this is the place to ask, though.  Try out Grand Master Pete's.

I've seen a misfit version of Tapper with The Simpson's characters in it e.g. Moe, Homer * Barney but from memory if still had the Bud logo not Duff.  ???

Don't remember where, but I got the Simpsons' hack a few months ago.
It's entertaining, but like you said, it doesn't say Duffs and when the character turn-around, some have cowboy hats and such on (face doesn't match back of head).

It is fun though and the price was right!  (I'm not complaining, but if someone does fix these, please let me know)

Tapper doesn't have that many frames of animation or sprites to alter.  If someone were to find a sprite editor for the game than it wouldn't be terribly difficult to alter it.
