I picked up my first racing cabinet this past weekend, a San Francisco Rush the Rock Alcatraz Edition. I have written a little about it in this thread:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64354.0I don't think the guy I got it from every had it running great, and the steering wheel wouldn't pass the self test when you turned it on, but we got it anyway without even looking "under the hood" hoping it wouldn't be hard to get it up and running.
Once we did get it home and inside, we opened up the steering wheel compartment, and noticed it was missing a screw on the coupler that attaches to the potentiometer. We had a scew with the same threads on hand, popped it in, and it has worked great since.
It could use a scrub, and probably a new marquee and button covers possibly, but it was a really good deal for a fun racing cabinet that only needed one screw to get it working great. It's actually inspiring me to make an Xbox driving cabinet (with the design borrowing heavily from this driving cabinet).
