Our local HS basketball team.
« on: March 20, 2007, 02:31:33 am »
Since Huntington High won the State Championship over the weekend, I figured I'd post a youtube video of some of their highlights. For some background info, all 5 starters are local kids. OJ Mayo left to play at a prep school for a few years, but came back to Huntington for his Senior year. This team was so frikkin ridiculous that they had a 6'6 Oklahoma commitment coming off the bench! I went to one home game they played at Marshall and a full capacity of 10,000 people were there with plenty more people begging for tickets.
This video was the only decent vid quality one I could find without uncensored rap music. Also note that all of this is from the same game. Every game was a dunk fest just like it.

Enjoy.

Dunking wasn't allowed in my high school, IIRC.

Seems like it would be a non-issue in Utah. ;) ;D

Pretty cool.  10,000 fans isn't bad.   ;D

You only got to see them once this year?

Just having a name like "OJ Mayo" should pave the way to great things.  ;)

They were on TV a few times also. I was lucky to get to go to that with a pregnant wife at home.
