Hey guys!!!!

I just did it! I purchased my very first cabinet!!!! I just purchased Ring King for 100 bucks!

Heading over there to pick it up now!

I believe that was indeed a craigslist listing. I too just glanced at it this morning. I tried to get a few different cabs this weekend but without the internet (dead dsl modem) it is tough to respond in time. When I first saw the post and who it was from I thought that maybe it was one of the games I didn't get for free this weekend. Somebody posted a free robocop and armwrestling game but I don't think I responded in time. I was hoping to see somebody here say they got it so when I read ring king I got confused pictured the arm wrestling

Nice score! I remember going to 7-11 to play it. I was pretty good then...played it on MAME and I suck now...but it is still fun!

I love Ring King...and for $100 you can't beat that. It sure sucks living in BFE...actually...it's probably a good thing...my wife would have my nuts on display by now if I were in a larger city where cabinets like this run on craigslist often.

Well Frizzle....if it is any consolation, I have to drive to BFE to pick it up

am_monkee, the cab is 100% working...the only thing touching this cab is a polish rag and my grubby little fingers.....No way would I gut my first cab.

Thats my posting... I am the kid in the picture. I already mamed that to play GP500. I got tired of it and decided to convert it back and sell it. I made up the story about grandparents buying it and me being a father.

Nice going! Friday and Saturday had a few deals on craigslist. A Bad Dudes for $25, free Robocop and a gutted Midway cocktail for $50. I tried for the Bad Dudes and Robocop, but talked myself out of the cocktail. I'm glad at least one of them went to someone here.

I see that today there is a fabulous deal - a Donkey Kong for the measly sum of $1000. It says that it takes a while to warm up, but for that price who cares!

Paladin, I am not sure, but I think I found an even rarer game on CL with the same description.

"i am selling my 1981 donkey know" that takes a while to warm up... I can't even find Donkey Know on KLOV. It must be worth a fortune.

You don't get deals like that on a big city CL. The big city CLs deals are either gone in seconds, are scams, or the CL is full of people who report any competitors as scammers so their ads get yanked.

Literally, a great deal on the Boston CL doesn't happen. The seller will have 20 emails within 2 minutes.

There are a lot of cabs that make the rounds in WV. You just have to figure out where they are and how to get into that loop. And you need to extend your search area to neighboring states. A good find often requires travel.

Columbus OH is the closest city with a barrage of everything. I had to give up my jukebox search since it kept getting bombarded with Columbus results. I tend to keep my range at 100 miles or less. I passed up a Robotron in great shape that went for $270 because it was in B.F.E. Kentucky and about 4-5 hours away.

100 miles is too narrow. Plus you have to just wait until the right deal comes along, sometimes it's a year between deals, sometimes you find 4 in a month.

I actually found Clubninja a really nice nearly working Rockola for free a minute from my house (from CL). The stuff is out there. This thing was sitting on the sidewalk with a "free" sign on it.
