Dragon's Lair best way to create chd from laser disc games ?

Ok, so let's presume I have access to a laser disc how do I make it work within' mame ? how do i convert it to a chd. format? Because didn't aaron claim that once chd's start to pop up it should work ?

Well you shouldn't to be honest. 

By "wait for them to pop up" he means himself, or someone like him who is familiar enough with the drivers to know what order/format/framerate/ect the source material needs to be in prior to conversion will make some chds, and they will be released magically on the net.
