I've tried out Sinistar from having read about it here. While I grew up on many of its contemporaries, this game is new to me. I don't have a 49-way but I've read the UltraStik (which I have) analog setting is acceptable. I gave the game some spins and man it is tough. I found it very hard to control. I've dialed down sensitivity, and increased centering to try to bring in better control. Still is hard to harvest those little crystals and build Sinibombs. Before I know it Sinistar is fully formed and out to chomp me up before I've harvested enough bombs. It's an addictive little number even though my son and I totally suck still.
So I'm looking for someone whose familiar with the feel of the original game, and may have some suggestions on MAME analog settings or possibly even special UltraStik map prefs that can better introduce control and replicate the feel of the game. (And hey, if you have any tactics to share, I'm listening.

) Doesn't help that this game, like Defender, doesn't have Dips to let me increase the lives while we learn this buggar.
Cheers.
