Quick question for anyone with Windows XP HOME installed...
« on: March 12, 2007, 02:35:13 pm »
If you have Windows HOME installed (not Pro), would you please tell me what you have in these directories:

- C:\Program Files\Common Files\SpeechEngines\Microsoft
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\SpeechEngines\Microsoft\TTS\1033

I am trying to troubleshoot a speech issue and this will really help.

Thank you!

in Microsoft I have folders Lexicon and TTS
                             file spcommon.dll

in Microsft/TTS folder 1033
                         with files sam.sdf
                                       sam.spd
                                       spttseng.dll

That is home 2002 with SP2

Thanks, Bob.

Can I send you a small exe to test if MS TextToSpeech is working in HOME?

It will just speak some text (if it works).
