Here is the story. I have a K7000 that came in a Double Dragon cabinet. The monitor did not work when I aquired the cabinet. The HOT was shorted. I replaced the flyback, HOT, and of course the fuse and everything was great for awhile. Then I decided to replace the switched power supply and somthing went awry. It turns out there was some mouse chewed wiring hidden in the cabinet and somthing must have shorted. The monitor went to a dot and died.
I have replaced the chewed wiring. The fuse was blown and the HOT was shorted. I replaced the HOT and fuse. Now, the fuse does not blow but I am not getting any glow from the tube. I am following the K7000 flowchart:
R301 156VDC
Lifted D10 No Change
Q11 156VDC
Q10 appears to test ok
R89 and R101 appear to test ok
Replaced IC2 No Change
Any suggestions for the next step? I have a capkit I can put in, but I am hessitant to spend the time if there is somthing obvious to look for. The monitor had been capped in the last 3 years before I got it.
