web design program transferred now FIXT!!

Well I finally got my favorite website design software program transferred to my new computer and have hit another minor snag.

The program is called Net Objects Fusion 9. It is a WYSIWYG web designer. When I go to upload my changes to my server, I get an error message. The programs Tech support told me it is an XP issue and that I should de-fragment my HD. Did that and am still getting the following message. Anyone ever experienced this particular message in XP?

I think that it is BS that it is an OS issue when the first line of the message is "Fusion.exe application error" This tells me it is the application having the issue...

That's a generic error message which just lets you know something is wrong... I would look at the usual suspects,

1. Did you do a full install or a copy (can you try uninstalling it and reinstalling it) ?

2. Did you install it to the default location typically c:\program files\<company name>/<product name>  ... I worked at a company whose product would not work unless it was installed in the default location.

3. hurm... did you check the internet for people having similar issues? I don't remember how to get there but google groups can have a wealth of information.

Wish I could offer more but that's the first steps to figuring out your issue.

I used your step 1 and step 2 and finally have complete success at uploading the site!!
  

Where the heck were you like a year ago when I began trying to get this done. I feel like such an idiot. I seriously have 100's of hours of blank stares trying to get this program from 1 system to the next. I caused 1 small riot here in EE last time I asked for help.

Granted I did need to retrieve the .exe install pack from the vendor again as I trashed the original from them...BUT STILL...YEASH
