Let me get this straight... (Jpac/video card)
« on: March 06, 2007, 10:42:29 am »
I know there are 1,000 threads about this, but there's so much information to search through it gets a little confusing.

I want to use a PC on an arcade monitor, I'll be getting a Jpac. I'd like an Arcade VGA card, but I can't swing it right now. The video card I'll be using is an ATI RAGE LT Pro, it came with an off the shelf Compaq computer in 1998.

So let me get it straight, I plug the video card's output into the Jpac, plug that onto the JAMMA harness, and configure the settings down to 15KHz via the card's driver software, and a program like PowerStrip beforehand? The Jpac filters off any signals that can mess up the monitor, right?  Am I missing anything here?

Also, are there some known "confirmed" video cards that won't give me any headaches out there? (that cost less than US$85.00 plus shipping from England)
