Isolation Tansformer Donut
« on: February 21, 2007, 07:15:08 pm »
hey all..

I found this thing laying on the arcade repairmans shelf....I asked him what it was, he told me an isolation transformer....He said he didn't know how to hook it up and said i could take it....

Its the size of a donut, its copper wire rapped around in a donut shape...

the label on it reads...

Feller GmbH
A-2525 Günseldorf
BV   :  100 VA
Type:  41527
Induktor GmbH München

There are six wires comming out of it: orange, purple, yellow, white & 2 red

If it is an isolation transformer, how can i hook it up to my monitor?

Thanks!

No it's not an isolation transformer. Don't use it.

Sounds like a "toroidal" transformer for some sort of computer power supply.
