Skeeball Restoration
« on: February 05, 2007, 08:17:43 pm »
Hey Im a new member to BYOAC forum ive been using for years, ive also built my own mame cabinet and restored a pachinko game. but now that i have a project id figure id join!

I got a 10 foot skeeball table yesterday that someone was throwing away because it didnt work. However i figured it would be a great project to take since ive always wanted one!

To get it to work i simply changed the fuse and it all powered up. speaker, lights, (beacon is broken), and the display. im posting pictures of it.

If there is any one who owns one and can help me with some problems if you would let me know thanks. also im gunna need some parts and cant find any so if you have any laying around let me know!

If I brought home a 10 foot skeeball table - I'd make sure to take a picture of my wife. Thats the money shot.

Anyhow, UncleT has a great deal of experience with these skee ball machines. Check out his posts - I believe he posted schematics as well as discussed where he ordered parts.

Re-size your pics just a bit...from the looks of your other ones, you may be pushing over the 512kb limit on the pic sizes.

Thats awesome, I'd love to have some redemption games like skeeball.

From what I've seen of the insides they look fairly simple.

If I brought home a fully working, good condition skeeball, my wife would probably say "cool"!

If I brought home a junked machine like you did, I would be living inside of it. :laugh2:

^ Yes, but what would she do after she saw how you made the junk pile into a beautiful, fully functional skeeball masterpiece?

I believe you have an "S" model. I picked up a complete Skeeball (older N Model) last year that wasn't working for $100. It only needed a fuse, some bulbs and it had a broken solder joint on the PCB. It still had the original wooden balls too. I thought the ticket dispenser was broken and purchased one brand new, but it ended up being a DIP switch issue. It was missing the ball counter switch so I made one using the switch from a coin mech. I just straightened out the wire. The beacon is just a regular bulb and not a flasher bulb, but it still flashes. I just used a little magic aeraser and it runs like a champ now. The speaker is really loud on it thought . I need to install a volume pot to make it a little quieter.

There is a guy on Ebay that sells Skeeball parts. He has ball counter switches. You can probably get that switch from Happ Controls.

If you need a new ticket dispenser LMK.

Here's my Skeeball acquisition post with image:

also please tell me what the buttons do that im posting a picture of.
