MALA default marquee issues

Hi again!!
Im looking at upgrading my cabinet (yet again) to a new front end. Im currently using mamewah. Its been good, but I want some other options, so Im trying something new - MALA.
I have it just about configured on my *test* pc, and about the only thing I have left is to get the onscreen default marquee to display. I can get it to change with the games with no problem, but when there is no marquee for a game its just blank. I tried loading my marquee image in there in .jpg and .png formats. It doesnt seem to work though.

It's a bug in MalaLayout in the current version. The default image filename is not saved in the layout file. You can add it by yourself with a text editor in the mll file.

MarqueeDefault='your_imgae_file'
