Front end / shell issues
« on: January 15, 2007, 01:33:38 am »
Hi all,

I'm running Mamawah 1.62b10 as a shell on my machine (winXP). It's working pretty well except when I turn the machine on and it loads into Mamewah the first emulator I run always loses focus and minimizes to the bottom left. A quick Alt-tab fixes it, but it's mighty annoying.

I've played around with Mamewah's dosbox and safelaunch options, but it doesn't make a difference. What's interesting is it's only the first time I run an emulator. When I escape out back to Mamewah and load another game (even from another platform), it works as it should (maintains focus and the full screen).

Any ideas?

Minwah

I'd normally advise you use {dosbox}{safelaunch} for this...sounds like you've already done that.

I can't say I know whether this is a common problem or not, having never ran Mamewah as a WinXP shell, but if all else fails you could run Mamewah from Startup instead of shell and see if that works ok.
