I just got a Sharp XM2001N and was wondering if anyone has hooked one to a pc? The manual shows a six pin connector. Green/Red/Blue/Ground/Ground/Negative Composite Sync. How should I wire this to the vga cable?

That model operates on 100 volts AC and requires an isolation transformer. It is also standard resolution, but with inverted colors for Nintendo games.

Ditto on what Ken has already mentioned......

DO NOT plug that one into 120v AC in any way shape or form.
It requires a 100v step-down / isolation transformer.

And it will require the inverter board otherwise the colors will be wrong.

You will need either an ArcadeVGA video card or can possibly use Powerstrip or some other similar method to configure the resolutions. It will NOT display VGA straight from the PC.

The cabinet is complete so the power for the monitor is not an issue. I need to make a cable to connect my pc to the monitor.

Does it have the video inverter board that the video signal goes into and then from there goes to the monitor chassis?

I'm assuming it is a Nintendo cabinet .... what game was running in it before the MAME transformation began?

I just got it. Its a Xybot machine and is in working order.

If it is this one, or at least this "game"..... then that monitor should already have the inverter setup for the colors to be correct.

When I wire the vga to the monitor should I twist the h and v sync wires together?

Yes.... to create a single "composite" sync line going to the monitor.

Not sure if that one can accept seperate sync or not.  Not very familiar with the Sharps.

Ok I got a picture finally but now the issue is at the top of the screen everything is slighty scewed to the left. I'm runnig winxp/PNY 6600GT/Powerstrip. Any ideas?
