  • This Cab is going to be the end of me!!
I wish I knew how to link to a previous thread, but I know a few years ago people were having trouble displaying with the Ultimarc Arcade VGA to the Betson Multisync Kortek KT-2914, part 44-4070-RT.. Apparently, there is some squishing at the sides when using 15Khz.  I have seen this first hand using advancemame while playing horizontal games such as Ghouls and Ghosts.

I know a lot of people out there are using this combo and I would love to display my games in their native video settings (especially since I paid all of this money for a multisync)..  I could deal with not using arcade settings on some of the games... But if they all look terrible then I'll just stick with my regular VGA card.

Could somebody share there recent experiences with this combo?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure what you mean by squishing.  If you mean squished as in black borders on the sides, then tweaking your modelines can fix that.  If you mean it as in the image is there but gets squished, I forget what that's called but it can be adjusted in the service menu.

Thanks.
Yes, I am talking agout the image itself being squished on both sides of the screen. The middle looks fine, but both sides are squished causeing a rolling over the hill look while playing horizontal games. If it could be a adjusted that would be great, however, I don't think it is so simple. Many people were scratching their head over this and there are several threads already out there. I'm just wondering what the outcome was and if they feel it was worth it in the end.
Thanks again.
