Emulation On Consoles
« on: December 30, 2006, 03:22:53 am »
Hi again

I probably have a really stupid question here, but I need to ask anyways. On my arcade cabinet, I have Mame, Atari 2600,5200, Colecovision, Sega Genesis (well you get the idea)! I want to add all of these arcade and consloe emulations onto either a XBox or an XBox360. So here is the question:

Would the EMULATORS & ROMS for all of these systems that I use now in my arcade cabinet, be the EXACT SAME ONES that I would use in the XBox or XBox360 emulation? If not, what other software, hardware or stuff will I need to accomplish this? Also, what would be better to use, the XBox or the 360?

Thanks in advance and any other comments or ideas are appreciated :notworthy:

The roms will be the same, but the emulators will need to be specific for the Xbox.

You can't run emulators on the Xbox 360 yet, so the Xbox would be the way to go.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

Pointdablame...thanks for responding :)

Is there a site that is best for getting these emulators for the xbox with reviews and comparisons on the emulators for a specific console system and good information I can read up on xbox emulation? For the PC, I know which emulators will work best but for the xbox I am totally lost. I want them for the following systems on xbox:
Atari 2600, 5200, 7800
Nintendo NES, SNES, N64
Sega Genesis, 32X
Colecovision
Intellivision
Neo-Geo
Commodore 64

Thanks to all again...

Dan

As for getting the emulators...  Go to the xbox-scene main page to the tutorial section and look up XBINS
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Then once you get the emulators, pop over here and grab all the other stuff you'll want:
screenshots, box covers, config files, icons, etc, all with xbox in mind.
