What's in a Wells Gardner K4500 capkit ?
« on: December 28, 2006, 03:12:02 pm »
Does anybody have a list (partnumber and values) of a capkit for a Wells Gardner K4500 monitor ?

The only source for a capkit for the 4500 I found is Zanen Electronics ( their set nr. 207, 18 parts). I'm not too greedy to not want to order with them but I can't find an internet site nor an e-mail adress to reach them. Phoning them is a bit of a problem for me since I'm from Europe, apart from the time difference, how will I pay ? And the shipping cost will add greatly to something costing just 10 bucks...

Now I can get any Elco I want (from my boss ;) ) so if I know the list, I'd be done and ready.

Alternatively, does a capkit mean replacing EVERY elco on the chassis ? I think not since the 4500 kit only has 18 elco's.

Alternatively, does anybody have an e-mail adress for Zanen electronics ?

And no, even Bob Roberts doesn't have a 4500 kit, and I can't order from him as well since he doesn't accept modern payment forms.

Thanks !

Just ordered the capkit #207 from Zanen. According to Zanen it also includes the brightness control which sometimes breaks on this monitor (which is interesting as my monitor is quite dim.

Nice find!   I will have to tuck that email away for a rainy day.

Yeah, well if you ever loose it, I put it up in the Monitor FAQ :D

Edit => Zanen wasn't even listed in the Vendors section of the BYOAC Wiki, so I added their info there as well.
