Killer instinct in mame .111?
« on: December 24, 2006, 03:45:05 pm »
Can someone try killer instinct in the latest mame and confirm if it says it can't find the CHD?  It works with .102 but in .111 it says can't find CHD and I don't know why.

Works for me.

Make sure you have the chd file in the "kinst" folder;

now it works for me too.  This is the first time I've had to do this, the CHD's have always been just sitting in my ROM directory outside the zip files.  I just discovered I need to either move the CHD into the game's zip file or create a subdirectory and put it in there.

Only problem now is I have all those CHD's to move around and I don't know what games some of them belong to with crazy file names, if putting them in a folder of the same crazy filename will do the job etc.  What a mess.
Thanks
