I wanted to like these films.  I really did.  I like Myers.

I saw the first one and was soooo terribly disappointed (kept turning to my wife and saying, "when does it get funny?") that I couldn't bring myself to see Two.

Needless to say, Three thru Five (or whatever they are drumming up) is not on my "must see" list.  :dunno

BTW, another Austin Powers would be more like it.  Maybe a "back to the start" one like Casino Royale.   ;D

I cannot stand Myers and his fake Scotch "I'm from Cunada!" accent.

I didn't think I'd like Shrek but the first one was really, really good.  Myers managed to tone down his manner and do a good job with the character.  Lithgow was as awesome as usual.

The second one... eh, too many topical jokes, far too contrived, not enough depth of story.  Too many instances of going for the memorable "we can use the 5 second clip for promotion" moments.  Not nearly as good and clearly more profit driven than entertainment driven.

Saw the Shrek 3D film at Universal Studios in October.  It was okay, really, but given where technology is now it should have been much much better.  The Jimmy Neutron across the street, non3D, was a lot better.  The Terminator 3 3D movie down the street, far older than Shrek 3D, was 100x better than either.
