Mirror CP art, etched glass help
« on: December 19, 2006, 01:29:28 am »
Some of you might remember me making a mirrored CP some time ago, i was looking for someone to maybe make a good stencil of an original Street Fighter 2 Hyper marquee so i can etch the name into my mirror on the cp.

Obviously the lettering would have to outlined or open on the center as that is where i would etch it into the mirror, otherwise any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Here is what i have to give you an idea.

Do you happen to have the art for the marquee? I might be able to get it laser cut out of plexiglas or something else sometime next week maybe.

I don't. I'm sure you could find something online to print out if you wanted to make it.

I'll need a size to make it. I have the vector art, so I can make it any size. Now, did you just need an exact cut out so you can etch it on the surface?

Use this at the size it is when you click on the image, i'd like all the words made and the circle around the main title if you can. Pm me any other questions.

I'm making it right now at 150 DPI. Of course, it really doesn't matter what dpi you want since I'm making paths around everything. I'm going to have a problem with the fists though. They may look weird once I'm done with them. It's too bad the image wasn't bigger.

The regular Street Fighter II marquee had the same logo on it (the center with the fists on it). Here is a link. That's a nice big file to work with.

Too bad I can't download it. Wonder why?

I'll be able to get the outlines and stuff done today. The thing I'll need to know is, how you are going to be etching it onto the mirror. I mean, the process that you'd do. Basically, what I can do is get certain things cut out and leave others together. As far as a stencil goes, everything can be cut out, but you'd have to place everything yourself.

I'd need the middle cut out of the pattern you make, the words "Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition" and the 2 ribbons that connect the circles and the circles around the lettering, don't worry about the fists if it would cause you trouble.

Basicly i need to put my etcher in the center of each letter and the center of the big and small circle to get the middle outline onto the mirror, that way i can pretty much copy the whole thing onto the glass as it looks in the marquee.

Hope that helps.

I have no problem paying you for your time.

Maybe you can send me a picture of what you have or what you started so i can see if you have what i'm thinking.
