Log trim is now roughed in. By that I mean that I get to putty up the cracks.

Well? Is Timbercade gonna be a big fat bust in the end?????   :dunno

How's she looking? Try to imagine a really cool CP and marquee oh & monitor then you will have a finished product.

Looks good.  You need to be careful of splinters when in a really heated game!

Also, I can imagine that late at night, you might get a craving to go at that thing with a ax, bow saw, or the like.

Well, I still am not done. Major hold up right now is funds for a monitor. I would like something around 19"-20". I'm scared if I wait too long there will be only wide screens available on the market? Right now if you look hard you can find the square (technical term?) type monitors which is what I want for this so that I can play both vertical and horizontal type games and not limit myself to one or the other. While neither will be ideal they will both be playable for most of the classics designed for either vertical or horizontal...correct?

I had a 19" Dell Trinitron that I think I have broke. I'm sooo stupid. I was just trying to take the cover off and I cracked the circuit board that controls the front buttons for monitor adjustments and now when I power it up it makes scary noises.  :dizzy:  It is sitting on my workbench. Someone with some tech skills (which I lack) could probably make this thing work.

Anyway, here is one shot of my cabs current state. The big round hole will be where I put a casted 18" BYOAC plaque and will be on a hinge and allow minimal access to the computer. As you can see I still need a marquee (pine princess timbercade carving) and I also want another TT2 with mini racer wheel for 2 player racing action. These will be placed on either side of the outskirts of where the Virtual Bluetooth Keyboard will shoot down the center of the control panel for misc. administrative needs. Add a monitor to pretty much wrap it up.

Anyway, it is sitting in the house and we are playing games on it...A LOT.  ;D

How bad ass would it be to create a custom joystick handle out of drift wood or something knotty and smooth!  Very original design.. neat to see design deviations lately.

Oh yea, thanks and great idea! I forgot to mention...we were thinking of having Melissa carve little Donkey Kong style barrels for Joy stick knobs. Add that to the "to do" list.

Hahah. Thanks for the compliments. It think when it is finally done it will be pretty cool and appreciated by some (and not so much by others).

Progess=0, nada.

It still looks the same. Oh, except I did get a byoac plaque put in place of the round hole in the front and the marquee is done too. I'm don't plan to do any more updates until the thing is complete though.

I still need a monitor. I live in a small town and there isn't anything used around here. Funds have been tight but i do plan to start looking for a monitor really soon and will be able to finish this thing up and I can't wait. I then want to build a jukebox and a more traditional style arcade cab using Saints Book.

Side note about the carved art. We released pictures of the wife's carvings on the cab right here on this website almost two years ago. She has went on to turn the carving into a full fledged, full time online business now carving dimensional commercial and personal signs. www.nicecarvings.com
