arcade monitor for christmas
« on: December 12, 2006, 04:51:12 pm »
I'm putting this out here, cos I'm not sure it's that visible in the powerstrip thread:

I'm looking at a 27" monitor.  I'm wondering:

1) with only my stock card, what will I noticably be missing?  (I'm not concerned with authenticity, just clarity and ease of use.)

2) without an avga, or/and advmame, will I hurt the monitor?  (I'm just using mame32.)

3) both Betson and WG have good pedigree (although, for a bit there, the 9200's were shaky), but for only about 50 bucks more, this company Billabs has one that does xga, also.  Any thoughts on this?
