Weird behavior in Win 98 when using the XArcade PCB
« on: December 11, 2006, 10:46:19 am »
HELP!

I am building a bar top and was bout 96% done.....until yesterday!

I have the following configuration in the bar top that I'm building---

P3
Windows '98 (fresh install)
XArcade PCB (older version using a keyboard passthrough)
Mame32 Ver. 76
USB Mouse

What is happening is that the machine works perfectly until I switch games. When I start the new game some of the buttons (generally the primary fire button) becomes unresponsive.

When I reboot the problem clears up.

I'm guessing based on those circumstances that this is some sort of a software issue........any suggestions on what I should be checking to hopefully clear up this issue?

The settings in Mame32 seem to be fine.....as again, the problem ALWAYS clears when I reboot.....and to be safe I've tried a few different XArcade PCBS with the same results on all of them.

ARGH!!!!  :hissy: :badmood: :banghead:  :censored:
Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?
