360 Game suggestions and HDD question
« on: December 09, 2006, 05:45:23 am »
I have a question regarding the hard drive in the 360, it states that its 20 gig yet when I look inside the dashboard or go to save a game it says theres only 12gig free.
I've deleted all the videos that came with it and anything else I didn't want, all it has now are the profile files etc and the PGR demo (1 gig) so where is the remaining 8 gigs being used?

I also need some good game suggestions for it, Ive been playing dead rising which has to be one of the funniest games ever, I've not laughed so hard at a game in ages  :laugh2:

I like adventure / RPG games or beat em ups, so I'm looking for resident evil style games really or a RPG that's not a jap FF style, I've got oblivion on the PC so I don't need that again, anything else out along the same sort of lines?
FPS are a definite no no, I really can't see how people play them on any console, you can't beat a PC for FPS that's what the mouse is for not a gamepad

Next year is looking really good with res5, alone in the dark and Alan wake until then I'm left frying, cutting, beating and chopping the undead  ;D

The 8gigs are being used by the OS on the 360, cache, dashboard, etc etc.  It's holding all the data needed to run the system.  So its a "20 gig" drive, but you only have 12gigs to play with.  It's the same situation as the original Xbox... its "8 gig" drive did not have 8gigs to play with at all.

As for games, I love Gears of War, but its an FPS.  Dead Rising is awesome like you said, and I really like Lost Planet as well.  Perfect Dark Zero is ok, but not great (FPS again).  Kameo is pretty cool, as is Rockstar's Table Tennis.  I also really love Rainbow Six Vegas.  That is an awesome game.

Dead Or Alive 4 is an awesome fighting game. I don't know if that's what you mean by "beat em up". I've heard that F.E.A.R. is pretty good too. I think it's somewhere between FPS and survival Horror.

I reccommend Oblivion if you have a lot off free time on your hands.  ;)

I've had my 360 for months and my favorite game to date is Geometry Wars!  Must be the retro-gamer in me.
Please!  Give me the good news first!
