Vertical light grey bars?
« on: December 05, 2006, 12:45:40 pm »
Well today I got my ArcadeVGA so have been doing some playing on the monitor in the cab. One thing I have noticed is that there is sort of patchy grey vertical bars on the screen at any resolution. They persist when I remove the video cable.
I can sorta combat it by turning the brightness down but then I find some games with dark areas are a bit hard to see (especially when you add the tinted glass into the mix too!)
Do any of you guys recognise the symptom at all?

Will have to double check the grounding as I removed a lot of (rather tattered) the original wiring when I did my conversion. I am hoping I just need to add a ground feed to the chassis to the ground of my power feed.
Caps is not really something I want to mess with because of the need to discharge the monitor. Just dont see the point in risking it when a replacement monitor is only a little more than the amount of a cap kit and the time to do it.
Thanks grantspain

This problem is because of your flyback so you should get it checked.
