How would you make something like that? Like, what kinds of legos would you use?

That's mostly made of parts from Lego Technics sets. Though of course many of those parts are also in the Robotics sets, but I didn't see any "logic" or any RCX computer block, so it's safe to say all they needed were Technics sets.

My guess, at least $1000 worth of those sets (you don't get very many pieces in one!)
NO MORE!!

That was nearly my same reaction. I feel blessed. My son is coming to the age where Lego's are the norm. I can come out of the closet and play with Lego's and it is completely acceptable. Yessssss!

That video is what you call a product from a Master Builder.

Lego gave out certificates to these individuals who created different sets of art and mechanics like on the video.  The mast one I say was at a huge toyshop upstairs at the FAO Schwarz in the Forum shops in Vegas.  A Darth Vader completely lit up all in Lego.

Pretty amazing, especially with all those different stages of sets.

Now to make an arcade machine out of lego... who wants to be the first?  :applaud:

lifesize AT-AT?  and it fires massive legos shaped like a laser bolt.

legos are fun for all ages and all people.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.
