Arcade VGA and Hwstrech?
« on: December 02, 2006, 12:36:42 am »
I have and ArcadeVGA  under Win98 and am having trouble trying to make it work.  Certain modes I want to use, like 256x240 just cause trash to appear and crash the computer, I have to reboot in safe mode just to restart. However I started playing with turining on Hwstrech and that seems to alleviate some of the problems (but I cannot display the game in its native resolution).

Has anybody else had similar problems?  Are there any good guide to setting up the Arcadevga?

Thanks,

Dave

Can't help you with Win98, sounds like a driver issue to me, my AVGA runs under XP. That said, turning on HW stretch means you might as well use any old card, that's not much of a solution. :) I'd e-mail Andy if you don't get help here, but he's likely to tell you to make sure your old drivers are uninstalled and maybe reinstall the AVGA drivers.
