Can I use this image?
« on: November 30, 2006, 08:28:02 pm »
I'd like to use this image in the artwork for my cab. Is it possible to use it? If so how? Does it have to be vectorized as it is not big enough? Can it be vectorized? Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks.

In its current size and the fact its a raster, its not suitable at all.

If resized to fit a marquee or used as a CPO or sideart, it will look soft and the pixels will be seen.

It could be recreated in Photoshop if you redo it from scratch making sure you start your artboard at the full print size your artwork needs to be and make sure you use 300dpi as your resolution.

I'm unsure how easy or hard it it to create 3D effects in AI to recreate your artwork. I'm sure some professional AI artist here could comment.

But in short your answer is no, your image is far too small and low res.
